ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - There's a bit of sunshine in this month's Florida citrus forecast for the first time in a while.
Agriculture officials said Wednesday that the orange forecast increased 3 percent over last month to 71 million boxes.
The slight increase is coming from a 2 million box rise in the estimate for Valencia oranges.
The grapefruit estimate also was up slight to 10.7 million boxes from last month.
Florida's citrus industry has been decimated in the past decade by the citrus greening disease.
