FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - A 23-year-old woman is being held without bail on charges that she kidnapped a 2-month-old baby.
Broward County jail records show that Stephanie Augustin is being charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and aggravated child abuse in connection with the abduction of Taraji Kemp.
Taraji was found safe Saturday in Orlando, 17 hours after she was taken. Detectives found Augustin in Fort Pierce.
Taraji and her mother were asleep at a Fort Lauderdale home at about 11 p.m. Friday when intruders invaded and took the girl.
Officials said at least one of the intruders had a gun. It could not be immediately determined Sunday if Augustin has an attorney.
