ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - A central Florida police officer left the force following an internal affairs investigation into allegations he showed nude photos of himself to a waitress while he was on duty.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1JHxLjB ) reports Altamonte Springs officer Thomas Gagliardi resigned from the department on Friday.
According to an internal affairs report, he displayed the two pictures of him naked to the woman in the parking lot of the restaurant where she worked. A regular customer filed the complaint about the officer's behavior toward the waitress.
In a news release, the department said Gagliardi's actions "caused concern for his judgment and were clearly outside of expected behavior."
Lt. Robert Pelton says Gagliardi will be eligible to cash in on accrued vacation time. He won't receive any other post-employemnt benefits.
