VENICE, Fla. - Authorities say four bicyclists are in critical condition following a crash with a vehicle in southwest Florida.
Sarasota County Emergency Services said on Twitter that three people were airlifted to a hospital while another was taken by ambulance on Tuesday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol says all four cyclists are adults.
Troopers say the bicyclists were riding in the right eastbound lane of Center Road in Venice when the bicyclists changed lanes into the left eastbound lane as a car was approaching. The front of the car struck all four riders.
All four bicyclists are listed in critical condition.
Additional details including the names and ages of the cyclists were not immediately available.
