CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- A four-car crash left two people trapped in their vehicles Monday in Port Charlotte.
The crash happened just before 4pm on State Road 776 at Como Street.
Charlotte EMS tells Four in Your Corner three cars and one SUV were involved in the crash that injured five people.
Two people were trapped inside one of the cars. Officials were able to get them out of the car.
One woman was taken by helicopter to Lee Memorial Hospital and another was taken to a local hospital. The three other people involved in the crash are in stable condition.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
