LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Curtis Wayne Wright, one of the men accused of brutally murdering Bonita Springs Dr. Teresa Sievers, appeared in a Lee County courtroom Wednesday afternoon.
During the appearance, Wright stood beside his attorney but stayed silent as he waived his right to a speedy trial.
Wright's family members were also in the courtroom but neither they or his attorney wanted to comment.
Wright along with his alleged accomplice Jimmy Rodgers are charged with 2nd degree murder for bludgeoning Sievers to death last June.
Wright is life-long friends with Sievers' husband Mark who witnesses said plotted the murder.
Rodgers is currently serving an un-related sentence in federal prison. Wright will be back in court on March 8th.
