Burglars busted into a home on Frederick Street in Naples Monday, stealing thousands of dollars worth of valuables, including two guitars and several guns.
According to reports from the Collier County Sheriff's Office, they arrested Jeff Haynes, 19, on Tuesday in connection with that and other home burglaries. At the time, he was driving a Hyundai Accent that had been stolen from Vero Beach. Deputies spotted several firearms inside the car at the time of the arrest.
Deputies said Haynes confessed, and told them that Lazaro Herrera, 25, was in on the Frederick Street burglary. Detectives tracked him down on Wednesday, after he reportedly pawned the guitars at a Fort Myers pawn shop.
Herrera told detectives that he didn't know the guitars were stolen when he pawned them. He faces charges for burglary while armed and grand theft. He is also being investigated in connection with multiple other home burglaries.
