FORT MYERS, Fla. - A major headache for thousands of travelers across the country Monday morning.
Delta Airlines says a nationwide system outage grounded all flights. Those flights already en route were not affected.
The outage impacted travelers in Southwest Florida as long lines could be seen at Southwest Florida International Airport.
Delta responded to customers on Twitter by saying they hope the outage will be fixed soon. According to representatives, the company experienced a power hit around 2:30 Monday morning at Atlanta's airport.
The company says they are aware some of the airport screens and flight status systems are incorrectly reporting flights on time and to plan for delays.
At RSW a long line of customers waited to find out what would be happening to their flight. Delta says they would try to rebook or refund the tickets for their customers.
No word on when flights will resume.
