EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - It could be September before some residents in Fort McMurray, Canada can return to their fire-damaged town.
More than 80,000 residents were evacuated because of a massive, fast-moving wildfire, and officials hope to start a phased in return starting Wednesday.
But Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says concerns about environmental contamination will delay the return of up to 2,000 evacuees.
The wildfire destroyed about 2,400 structures.
