TAMPA, Fla. — An Indiana man working in Tampa is facing multiple charges are he was arrested on Friday for traveling to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex, according to arrest records.
Troy Roberts, 43, told who he thought was a teenager that he was 29 and wanted to perform oral sex on her, the records show.

"Wow 14. I am 29 which is probably too old for you," one of his messages read, according to the records.
He didn't know he was actually talking to an undercover detective that was posing as a 14-year-old.

He sent messages saying he would "love" to perform oral sex on a 14-year-old girl. He also said, "bring a girlfriend if you want," indicating he would also perform oral sex on that underage girl, according to the records.
In other more graphic messages, Roberts told the girl to be "freshly showered" and went into detail about the sexual acts her would perform, the records show.
After his arrest, Roberts admitted to engaging in sexual chats with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
Roberts was arrested after driving from his job in Tampa to the location in Clearwater, according to the arrest records.
Authorities searched his vehicle and found several sex toys inside, as well as one on his person, the records state.
Roberts was charged with traveling to meet a minor, misrepresentation of age to seduce/solicit/lure a child, unlawful use of a two way communications device and certain uses of computer/devices prohibited.
Roberts lives in Indiana and is due to leave Florida on May 7 to return home, according to the arrest records.
