PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Investigators arrested a 62-year-old man Wednesday on accusation of sexual battery on a young child.
John Thurber, Jr. is currently in the Charlotte County Jail, held on no bond. He is being charged with Sexual Battery by and adult on a victim under 12 years old.
The juvenile victim recently came forward to her family about the year-long abuse that she had suffered and aided in the arrest, which occurred in the Bermont Road area of Punta Gorda.
