Vehicle strikes bear in Collier County FWC Officers respond

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Wildlife Conservation Officers had to euthanize an adult female bear humanely.

FWC officer responded to an incident involving a vehicle that struck a bear.

The incident happened in the area of Immokalee Road and Randall Boulevard.

FWC says at least 230 bears are killed on Florida’s roadways annually and that bears are more active around this time of year in preparation for winter.
