FORT MYERS, Fla. — Next week, ten-thousand redfish will be released in Charlotte County as part of red tide recovery efforts.
Several agencies including Duke Energy and Fish And Wildlife will release the juvenile redfish at the "William Gaines Junior Veterans Memorial Park" in Port Charlotte, Tuesday morning.
More than 20-thousand redfish have already been released on the west coast to help replenish the fish population.
