State leaders are taking action on red tide.
Senators have moved forward with a bill that is meant to help control or at the very least bring relief from those nasty red tide blooms.
Here's how it would work the bill would put aside three million dollars a year for the next six years for red tide research.
A similar bill is workings its way through the house.
Last year we saw one of the largest blooms in Florida history.
