Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation sees rise in sea turtle nesting

SANIBEL, Fla. — The Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) says sea turtle nesting season is off to a great start.

There are 29 nets on Sanibel and 14 on Captiva.

The foundation says that is seven times more than last year.

There are also two rare leatherback nests.

There is a total of 43 sea turtle nest since April 1^st.
