Red tide popping up in Southwest Florida

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Low levels of red tide are popping up around Southwest Florida.

According to FWC, the red tide organism Karenia Brevis was found in Charlotte and Lee Counties.

Background to high concentrations in and offshore of Lee County (in 26 samples) and background to low concentrations was found in and offshore of Collier County (in 10 samples).
