Recreational triggerfish season to begin in March

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Gray triggerfish opens March 1 in Gulf state and federal waters.

Florida Fish and Wildlife announced the opening of recreational gray triggerfish season.

Harvest in the Gulf state and federal waters begins March 1st and will run until May 31st.

It will close June 1st through July 31st for an annual spawning season.

If you plan to fish for gray triggerfish in Gulf state or federal waters (excluding Monroe County) from a private recreational vessel, you must sign up here. (annual renewal is required).
