COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Why did the alligator cross the road? We may never find out.
According to Naples Police Department, officers responded to a wildlife call on Golden Gate Parkway around 1 a.m. Friday and found an alligator laying in the road.
It happened near Freedom Park.
Officers say the alligator fled from them before FWC could make it to the scene. They did manage to snap a couple photos of the reptile.
