FORT MYERS, Fla. — A manatee is now back in open water off Southwest Florida.
Deputies, along with Florida Fish and Wildlife officers and Zoo Tampa, helped release it at Manatee Park.
The manatee named Poinsettia was rescued from Sanibel last December.
She was struggling to breathe because of red tide she was nursed back to full health before yesterday's release.
