FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — Work to restore the beach shoreline at Lynn Hall Park, 950 Estero Blvd., will begin Sat. Dec. 12. The beach will be closed from the fishing pier to the north end of Lynn Hall Park for dune renourishment that is needed due to damage from Hurricane Eta in November.

The south side of the parking lot will remain open. The amenities at the park, including restrooms and shower facilities, will remain open. The work is expected to be completed by Thurs., Dec. 24. The north side of the parking lot will be closed to be used as a construction staging area.

The $200,000 project is funded by Tourist Development Tax dollars, which are collected on short-term lodging.

Other nearby county sites available to beachgoers include Bowditch Point Park at the north end of Fort Myers Beach and Crescent Beach Family Park, which is just south of the Fort Myers Beach Fishing Pier.
