LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- There's a new vehicle around Lee County that will make it easier for you to dispose harmful chemicals that could hurt others or the environment.

The Household Chemical Waste Vehicle's next stop will be January 8 in Bonita Springs, on Bonita Beach Road, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

You can dispose leftover paints, cleaners, herbicides, pesticides, automotive fluids, pool chemicals, and electronics for free.

However, you have to pre-schedule by calling 239-533-8000.

The vehicle made its inaugural stop on Fort Myers Beach in October 2019. It collected 3,600 pounds of chemicals from 53 residents.
