PUNTA GORDA, FLa. — An otter is back in the wild tonight after recovering at the CROW clinic in Sanibel for nearly four months.

Back in February, the otter was rescued on the side of the road and taken to the Peace River Wildlife center before being transferred to CROW.

The animal was likely struck by a vehicle it had head trauma, and a broken leg and had to have surgeries.

The animal was released to a remote location near Punta Gorda.
