COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Tuesday, the South Florida Water Management District will give an update on the western Everglades restoration project.
This will be a part of the Collier County commissioners meeting.
Just last week, the House Appropriations Committee passed a spending bill that includes $200 million for Everglades restoration.
The $200 million is key because that's the amount needed to meet the federal commitment to the 50-50 partnership with Florida.
This deal would kick in for the 2020 fiscal year.
The Collier County meeting will be at 9 a.m. The Commission Chambers and Commissioners' offices are located on the third floor of the Administration Building at 3299 Tamiami Trail East, Suite 303.
