MATLACHA, Fla. -- Lee County deputies say they were able to save a dolphin in Matlacha Pass.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office shared a video from their helicopter on the agency's Facebook page.
It appears that the animal was stuck in a sandy part of the pass.
You can see marine unit deputies were able to move the dolphin to a different part of the pass in St. James City so it could swim away.
