CAPE CORAL, Fla, -- A friendly reminder for residents in Cape Coral that fertilizer restrictions begin on June 1st.
Starting then, the use of fertilizers will be prohibited within city limits until September 30.
The goal is to keep harmful nutrients from washing into storm drains during rainy months, since it could impact the canals and surrounding waters.
