CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- $15,000 will go towards inspecting the seawall at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.
City leaders approved the funding at Monday night's meeting. The money will come from the Yacht Basin Enterprise Fund.
The inspection will happen at the seawall north and east of the boat ramp parking.
According to the Public Works Department, the seawalls are failing and haven't been inspected since 2011.
Public Works is also requesting recommendations for short term repairs. They say it's likely the seawalls will need to be replaced.
