UPDATE: Crews used a bucket truck to approach the bobcat atop the pole, and coerced it to climb down and run off to safety.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- It's not that uncommon for large cats to be spotted in rural Collier County, be they Florida panthers or bobcats. However it is very rare to see one sitting atop a wooden pole along the interstate.
FDOT traffic cameras spotted some sort of large cat, apparently a bobcat, sitting on the top of a pole near mile marker 78 along Alligator Alley on Thursday morning.
