LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- Florida Fish and Wildlife officers are caring for a sick baby manatee that washed ashore in San Carlos Bay.

The 6-foot-long manatee was found September 5th, 2018 and showed signs of red tide illness. FWC officers, biologist, and Lee County Sheriff's Office Marine unit were able to rescue the sea cow.

It was loaded up in a truck near Salty Sam's Marina for treatment.
