Fort Myers, Fla. - Fort Myers Police Department is on the scene of a shooting on Fowler Street in Fort Myers.  A spokesperson for the department tells us that three men were shot at the Tropical Creole Restaurant located at 3440 Fowler Street in Fort Myers.  All men suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities closed down north and south bound lanes of Fowler Street around 1:30 pm Thursday after the shooting.

The family of one of the men injured in the shooting believe their family member was acting in self defense.

A witness to the shooting says they heard around 5 to 6 gunshots and says one of the shooters took off in a silver Cadillac. She described the shooter as a black male with dreadlocks and possibly in his 20s.

Fort Myers Police say it is not clear what led up to the shooting.
