Normally people are eyeing fancy jewelry through the window.
But on Friday, their attention was fixed on detectives at Provident Jewelry store in Naples.
Police say two men made off with a bag of high end watches during an afternoon jewelry heist.
"It appears they only took the watches that were in the view from the store on the display window," said Lieutenant Seth Finman.
The two men stormed inside the store on Fifth Avenue wearing motorcycle helmets. One was carrying a gun.
One of the men reached around the display counter and grabbed whatever he could.
Shoppers in the area were stunned that burglars would target a store in a busy area in broad daylight.
"The world's a scary place," said Cristy Starnes."
Police say the men took off on motorcycles and witnesses say they were heard speaking Spanish to each other.
No one was hurt during the robbery and detectives believe the men behind the robbery have left the city.
