This week, a North Carolina woman became angry when a seven-year-old boy splashed water near her at the Sheraton Sand Key on Clearwater Beach, court documents allege.
According to an arrest affidavit, Roseanna Kiser - a guest at the hotel - was drinking from a bottle of vodka in the swimming pool area when the splashing occurred.
Kiser pour some of the vodka directly onto the boy’s face and eyes. She then grabbed him around the chest and pushed him further away from her into the water.
Hotel management contacted Clearwater Police for assistance in ejecting her from the property. The manager and officers responded to her hotel room. She was told seven times to gather her belongings and leave, or she would be arrested.
She refused and was placed under arrest. Kiser repeatedly kicked a male officer in the groin with the heel of her foot, “resulting in extreme pain and physical injury to the arresting officer’s groin area,” according to the affidavit.
Kiser also struck other officers in the head, neck and chest with her elbows.
She was ultimately arrested and charged with child abuse, battery of a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence and failure to leave a public service establishment.
