CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Cape Coral Police are now confirming a local businessman who disappeared last week was murdered.

Last week a business associate reported James Marshall missing when he didn't show up for a conference in California.

Marshall's son was arrested on charges not related to the murder investigation after he tried to use his father's credit card at a bar the day after his father disappeared.

Sources are telling Fox 4 that Marshall's body was found dismembered near his Island Cove condo.

Police remain tight-lipped about the investigation.  "We're not releasing any sort of that kind of information at this time...we're not going to get into any specifics on the details of the investigation," says Sgt. Dana Coston.

Marshall's son is facing fraud charges for the incident with the credit card.

Police do say they have a person of interest in this case.  Fox 4 asked if Marshall's son is a person of interest in the death, but police say they are not revealing any information about that.

But they do say they do not believe this was a random incident.
