COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Miami pop star Pitbull has released a new video to promote Florida. The video for his song "Sexy Beaches," featuring beautiful young women on various Florida beaches, is being used to promote the state on Pitbull's social media accounts. But the state's tourism agency has not released the amount of tax dollars going to the musician for promoting the state.

Pitbull signed a deal with the state's tourism marketing agency "Visit Florida" last year for an undisclosed amount of taxpayer dollars.

Byron Donalds of Naples, who is running for the Florida State House, believes the details of the contract should be public knowledge.

"I'm glad that Pibull is helping to promote Florida," Donalds said. "We just want to make sure it's under complete Sunshine (laws,) so everybody knows how we're going about doing it. The taxpayers, at the end of the day, are the ones that need full protection, because it's their money."

Several messages to Visit Florida for comment went unanswered.

Whatever the cost to taxpayers, the "Sexy Beaches" video is getting plenty of notice, with over a million views so far on YouTube.
