LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Fort Myers woman will spend the next 30 years behind bars for running pill mill clinics.

Dr. Jacinta Gillis was convicted of several charges, including racketeering and money laundering.

Gillis operated two pill mill clinics, one in Pinellas County and another in Lee County, where she saw up to 70 patients a day.  In a two-year period she reportedly issued more than 33,000 prescriptions and more than two-million oxycodone pills.

She reportedly profited more than a million-dollars to fund her lavish lifestyle.
