HENDRY COUNTY, Fla., - Hendry County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a shooting Tuesday night left one person dead and four others injured.

Deputies say it happened around 11pm near a popular store along Harlem Academy Avenue.

Witnesses say they heard about 30 gunshots coming from multiple scenes.

"I never seen nothing like that before," said Larry Jackson, who was near the scene when shots were fired.

The victim, Anthony Holder, 28, is known by the community as D-2. Friends describe him as a "very good guy."

Deputies are unsure on a motive for the shootings but say the community is not in any danger. They urge anyone with information to call Crimestoppers.
