FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Local aviation enthusiasts and history buffs are getting the chance to soar in the oldest commercial plane in the world.

A 1929 Ford Tri-Motor plane took flight from Page Field Thursday.

Formally called The "Tin Goose", the Ford Tri-Motor airplane paved the way for commercial flights during The Great Depression.

The plane will be on display and taking flight through January 29th.
