Nothing screams Valentine's Day like chocolates or a nice dinner, but if you haven't booked a reservation yet it might be tough getting a table for two.
It's a day away and restaurants across Southwest Florida are already booked for Valentine's Day. Open Table, a platform that allows user to make reservations at a wide variety of restaurants, showed limited availability for Tuesday night.
Fort Myers restaurant 'Cristof's on Mcgregor' filled their last reservation last week.
"Last Thursday, I would say about 7 or 8 o'clock was the last reservation we were taking," said James Hajek, server and supervisor at Cristof's. He's worked at Cristof's for 3 years now, and says they're expecting a large crowd tomorrow night.
"This year actually we saw an increase, especially with the weather being nice. We have a lot of outdoor seating," said Hajek.
Whether your sitting outdoors or indoors, Cristof's offers a romantic ambiance for the day of love. If you're interested in this spot you should plan to arrive early.
"We are taking walk-ins, about 4 or 5 o'clock those are the hours but 6,7, 7:30 [we're] booked solid," said Hajek.
If you're last minute dinner plans don't pan try, try a last minute gift that doesn't look last minute.
"Valentine's it's always the guys that are last minute, they never think ahead. This year, believe it or not there are a lot of them in here," said Mark Taylor, Owner.
The Edible Arrangements shop at the Coralwood Center in Cape Coral has dipped and decoated over 7,500 strawberries for the holiday, and they've got you covered until 5:00 p.m. on Valentine's Day.
"We'll be open tomorrow and take orders until 5:00 p.m. and get those orders out," said Taylor.
