A propaganda film purportedly released by ISIS on Wednesday threatened the United States and heavily implied an attack in New York’s Times Square.
The video shows scenes of New York streetscapes and taxi cabs spliced in with images of suicide bombers preparing for an apparent attack.
The video also shows a clip of French President Francois Hollande’s speech following Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris. Hollande’s clip ends with his quote, “It’s horrible.”
After a fade to black, words appear on the screen. According to a “New York Post” translation, they read, “And what’s coming next will be far worse and more bitter.”
According to a report from Fox News, the images of New York used in the video are not new, and are repurposed from an earlier propaganda film that ISIS released earlier this year.
The New York City Police Department is taking the video as a “specific threat” and will continue to keep a “heightened state of vigilance” throughout the coming weeks.

“While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target,” NYPD spokesman Stephen Davis told Fox News.
