Football fans, your bed times will be a little earlier for regular season night games.
A report from Ben Volin of the Boston Globe says that the NFL will be starting its night games a few minutes earlier than last year.
Good news for east coast NFL fans: All primetime games this year are starting earlier this season, per a league source (all times Eastern):
MNF: 8:15 kickoff (up from 8:30)
SNF: 8:20 kickoff (from 8:30)
TNF: 8:20 kickoff (from 8:25)— Ben Volin (@BenVolin) April 18, 2018
This is a far cry from the past, when back in the 1960's, primetime broadcasts would start at 9:30 p.m. ET, and for decades starting in the 1970's when Monday Night Football began at 9 p.m. ET.
It means bosses may get more productivity from their workers the next day, and perhaps a little less coffee downed at the office.
