Look up tonight and you may be delighted to see a full harvest moon.

According to NASA, the moon will become officially full at 10:52 p.m. ET on Monday, and will appear full through Wednesday.

The moon will rise Monday night around 7:50 p.m., but it won't hit full peak until three hours later.

A full moon closest to the Autumnal Equinox is known as the Harvest Moon. Since the full moon rises when the sun sets, the bright full moon allowed farmers extra time to harvest in the evening.

The Autumnal Equinox was Saturday. It means the northern and southern hemispheres experienced an equal amount of daylight.
