A person suspected of taking hostages at a Florida bank has been taken into custody, authorities said.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office confirmed via Twitter that a bank robbery suspect has been taken into custody and 11 hostages have been released. It is unclear if any of the hostages were injured, but the office confirmed no one was shot.
The incident happened at Community First Credit Union.
The suspect is uninjured, Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams said in a press conference. The situation lasted about two hours.
Williams said some of the hostages were released during the process and the suspect threatened the lives of hostages and put a gun to the back of hostages' heads.
