A medical assistant at a Collier County clinic is accused of inappropriately touching a woman during a fake medical exam - as part of a fake job interview.
Jonathan Jusino, 33, worked for the Alta Health Group in Naples. He was arrested for one count of sexual battery.
The victim told deputies she applied for a receptionist job at the Alta Medical Clinic located at Radio Road and Santa Barbara Boulevard about 2 months ago. Then on Wednesday, she said Jusino called her and told her to come in around 4:45 p.m.
But when she got there, she said no one else was there but Jusino, who gave her some paperwork to fill out. She reported that Jusino told her she needed to have a medical exam as part of the interview. For this, she said she was given a medical gown and told to take off her clothes in an exam room.
The victim told deputies that Jusino performed several medical tests on her, but then began to touch her inappropriately as part of what he claimed was a pelvic exam. But she was very uncomfortable with the whole thing, and later reported it to the Collier County Sheriff's Office. Deputies later arrested Jusino at a gas station near his home.
In court on Friday, a state prosecutor suggested a bond of $100,000 due to the serious nature of the charge. The judge cited Jusino's lack of criminal history as grounds for a smaller bond of $50,000.
The Alta Medical Clinic released a statement Friday, reading in part: "...a non-professional male employee improperly accessed the clinic premises after hours and was involved in an incident with a female. The employee has been immediately terminated."
The clinic manager told Fox 4 that there was not an opening for a receptionist at the clinic.
Jusino's next court date is October 10.
