A Naples man was arrested Wednesday on charges of using a computer to send an obscene photo to a minor, and requesting her to do the same. Brandon Hafenbrack, 22, is also charged with sending lewd messages to the minor, who lives in New York state.
According to the arrest report, the girl and her mother told investigators she met Hafenbrack while she was visiting Florida last year. They said he tried keeping in touch with the girl through Facebook messaging using the name "Brandon Haffy," and sent her a photo of male genitals after telling her he thought she was sexy.
A neighbor of Hafenbrack's on Illinois Drive, who didn't want to be identified, said she heard deputies when they came to arrest him Wednesday evening.
"I heard them say 'Collier County, we've got a warrant, open the door,'" the neighbor told Fox 4.
The report says that Hafenbrack admitted to sending pictures of genitals to girls in the past, but couldn't remember contacting the girl in New York due to using alcohol and drugs.
In his first court appearance Thursday, Hafenbrack's attorney argued for a bond reduction. Judge Rob Crown granted the state's request to revoke bond instead.
Hafenbrack's arraignment on the charges of soliciting to a minor is scheduled for September 6.
