LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A multi-car crash with injuries shut down part of U.S 41 in North Fort Myers on Thursday.
The crash happened around 1:24pm near the intersection with Pondella Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of an SUV failed to stop for a bus in front of him and crashed into the rear of the bus. The force of the collision sent the SUV into the next lane, where it struck another SUV.
The driver of the first SUV, 70-year-old Mary Morris of North Fort Myers, suffered minor injuries.
A passenger in the 2nd SUV also suffered minor injuries.
Both were taken to Lee Memorial for treatment.
Morris was charged with careless driving.
