CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Fire crews are still monitoring the scene of a mulch fire that broke out in Placida Thursday afternoon.
According to Charlotte County Fire & EMS, crews were dispatched just after 2 PM to Charlotte Organix on Linwood Road for an out of control fire.
Fire crews set out to protect a nearby home and business with the help of the Florida Forrest Service, and then remained overnight to monitor the fire.
The fire will be re-evaluated at noon Friday.
No injuries or damage were reported.
Smoke will still be visible in the area.
