COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Charges are pending after a fatal crash in a rural area of Collier County.
It happened Sunday afternoon at 1:17pm on State Road 29, approximately six miles north of Tamiami Trail.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a northbound car tried to turn left into a driveway on State Road 29 just as a southbound motorcycle was approaching. The driver of the motorcycle, 58-year-old Chandler McGraw of Camden, Maine, couldn't stop in time and hit the car before falling on the roadway and sliding into a ditch.
He was taken to Physician's Regional Medical Center, where he died a couple hours later.
Charges are pending.
