CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- One man remains in the hospital with serious injuries after a collision involving a dump truck and a minivan in rural Charlotte County.
It happened around 12:30pm Wednesday on State Road 31 north of Cook & Brown Road. Officials with Charlotte County EMS say the driver of the minivan was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital while the other driver was unharmed.
The crashed closed a stretch of U.S. 31 for about an hour, but it's since reopened.
Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
