Police have arrested a man after an early morning shooting that caused the Matanzas Bridge to close for several hours.

LCSO responded to a call for service involving a shooting in the Pinnacle Apartments area at approximately 4:00 A.M on Sunday.

The suspects was located in the area of Matanzas Bridge on Fort Myers Beach, according to LCSO.

A witness tells Fox 4 he was driving up the bridge into Fort Myers Beach just after 4 a.m. when he saw a car being chased by deputies heading in the other direction.  He says he saw a deputy intentionally turn the vehicle sideways into the concrete barrier, then another squad car hit the first deputy vehicle.  The Sheriff's Office has not confirmed the witness account of what happened and it is not clear if anyone was hurt.

Deputies have identified the suspect as 19-year-old Morgan Reilly. He was later arrested.

The Matanzas Bridge at Fort Myers Beach re-opened just before 9 a.m after being closed for several hours.

Deputies say this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.
