FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Fort Myers Police made a swift arrest Saturday, after a drive-by shooting killed a 63-year-old woman overnight.

21-year-old Sheddrick Jubree Brown faces Second Degree Murder charges for the shooting death of Gloria Sparrow.

According to neighbors, Sparrow was loved by many. "Miss Gloria is a very nice, loving lady. She was nice to everybody. She did as much as she could for everybody," said a family friend. "She was there for me on my toughest times, and I love her for what she's done for me and my family."

Fort Myers Police arrived to Sparrows home in the 3000 Block of Dora Street, shortly after 1 a.m., Saturday, where they found her suffering a gunshot wound. She later died in her home.

A church group was at the home, Saturday afternoon, where they prayed over Sparrow's home. Neighbors said they don't know why this could have happened. "It does make me scared and concerned, but at the same time, this world is cruel. God knows what goes on here," said the family friend.

Aside from the second degree murder charge, Brown faces charges of shooting into a dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, discharging a firearm in public, and criminal mischief.
