LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers are looking for help identifying the driver and passenger in a van involved in a fatal hit and run crash last month in Fort Myers.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, it happened on September 3rd, on Palm Beach Boulevard at Figuera Avenue.

Investigators say the van in the video was traveling eastbound when it hit 36-year-old Felipe Hernandez of Honduras as he crossed the road at 12:06 AM.

The video shows the post-crash actions of the driver and passenger. After the crash, the driver of the Toyota stopped in the paved median at the intersection of Buena Vista Boulevard. The driver and passenger exited, looked at the front of the Toyota then reentered the vehicle and fled the scene.

The van is described as a 2004-2006 Toyota Sienna van, brownish gold in color.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers are requesting anyone that has information regarding the driver or passenger of the Toyota to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800 or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
